The Death Penalty with Sr. Helen Prejean

Sr. Helen Prejean comes on the show to discuss her work advocating for the abolition of the death penalty. Sr. Prejean is the author of the book Dead Man Walking, which was made into a feature film by the same name in 1995.

    Sr. Helen was my teacher about 45 years ago. To this day, her light and love still influences my life in positive ways. She was barely an adult when she taught us, but she stood out among the sea of other nuns and lay teachers.

    She underestimates how remarkable she was then. But her loving approach to all that she did and all those she touched was more than extraordinary. Thank you for brining her word to others. Please do it more often.
