Professor Khaled Anatolios of the the University of Notre Dame discusses the remarkable life of St. Athanasius. Born at the end of the third century (ca. 298), Athanasius is most known for his contribution to the creation of the Nicene Creed. He was also the author of The Life of Anthony, an extremely important work about the early monastic movement.
This program was first posted 2011. At that time, Professor Anatolios was on the faculty of the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. We are re-posting it today in honor of the feast of St. Athanasius, which is Tuesday of this week.
